Accessibility at Mode.

Mode is built so that trainers and their clients can run a coaching business regardless of how they browse, read or navigate the web. We treat accessibility as part of the product, not an afterthought.

Our commitment

We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA across this website. That standard is published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and is the benchmark most widely referenced in accessibility law, including the Equality Act 2010 in the UK and the Americans with Disabilities Act in the US.

What we have done

  • Text and interface colours are checked against a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text.
  • Every interactive control — links, buttons, the on/off switch, accordions, forms and scrollable galleries — can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone.
  • A visible focus outline shows which element the keyboard is on, and a “Skip to main content” link lets you jump past the navigation.
  • Pages use landmark regions and a logical heading order so screen-reader users can navigate by structure.
  • Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; purely decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Form fields have visible, programmatically associated labels, and validation errors are announced as they happen.
  • Animation is reduced automatically when your device requests less motion.

Known limitations

We test continuously, but some areas may fall short. We are currently reviewing third-party embedded video, and some marketing imagery contains text baked into the image. If you hit a barrier anywhere, please tell us — real reports from real people are the fastest route to a fix.

This statement applies to trainwithmode.com. This site is assessed against WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The assessment covers colour contrast, keyboard operation, semantic structure, ARIA usage and text alternatives, and was carried out by internal review using automated contrast measurement and manual keyboard testing.
